Ty Loves His New Bike

As you can tell, this was a big day for day. Tony and Ty went out to A.F. They went to lunch with Grandpa Ivins and Sarah and Harmony and their kids, then they went to Walmart. They let Ty pick out a bike. Then they went to Sarah's to ride. He loved it. Tony went to load the bike to come home and Ty insisted that it sat up with him. He held on to the wheel the whole way home. I called him and he said I love my bike-its a motorbike and dad got me a spiderman helmet. Tony said he was all smiles all day.

As Time Goes By...

Ivins Family 2009 in Snow Canyon

Well for Easter Weekend we went with Tony's Family down in St. George at Snow Canyon. We did this as a family reunion. We had all of Tony's siblings and all the grand kids. It was a lot of fun.

The first night we got our tent out and I actually did a night out-SURPRISE! It was really cold, but Tony brought a queen size mattress from Grandma Ivins condo. He was so cute to make me feel like I wasn't really camping. We roasted hot dogs and made smores and talked around the campfire. We also made family flags for all our future reunions. Tony's mom did an awesome job.

The next morning Trevor and Sarah made a fabulous breakfast, then we got lunch ready and went on an awesome hike and ate lunch at the top of the beautiful red rocks. Later Tony's parents did dinner and then we had a special FHE by Dad Ivins and then we did Idol Ipod around the campfire (look at Sarah's blog on the right of my blog and check all he guys sining and you will now what it is). We all had a great time laughing and having a great time. We then went back to Grandma Ivins condo stayed the night and woke up the next morning cleaned up and went back home.

We also went down to St. George a couple of days earlier then the rest of Tony's family. We hung out with my family at my parents place and hung out with my sisters and there families and my parents. We dyed easter eggs, ate, played games and had a great time. I went with my sisters families and Alexa went to Hanhah Montana movie. I like cried 3 times. I thought the movie was great.

January to Mid February

Time is just going by so fast. We had a very busy couple of weekends.

On January 24th, we went to the Draper Temple Open House with Tony's family. We had a great time. Weston and Alexa loved the experience and to see how beautiful the temple is inside.

On January 31st, our nephew Everett got his "Make a Wish." He got a pop up camper and firepit. The foundation did a wonderful job. He got to write his wish on his star and rise it up in the ceiling with the other kids wishes in the past. It was awesome. Weston and Alexa loved staying at Everett's that night and stay in the camper in their garage. Sorry Harm that Alexa got sick, thank you for taking care of her. The kids had a blast. Also that weekend, my niece, Josie (Jess/Puck's little one) got blessed. Puck did a great job on her blessing. Then we drove home for the Super Bowl. Trevor/Sarah came out and a friend of Tony's from work and mom/dad and Jared/Tauni. We had good food and a lot of fun. Oh, Mom Ivins, Sarah and Annette we also went to see "New in Town." That was a hilarious show we laughed a lot. I highly recommend it!!!

Mom Ivins came out for an evening during the week and that was a lot of fun as well. We love when she comes out.

Weston did the Invention Convention. He and Tony made a Star Wars holder for all his guys out of a rotating automatic tie rack and hot wheels car holder. It turned out really cute. He said he was tired of Tyler loosing all his parts and this would help him keep it together instead of being in a bin :) He was excited to get an award for participating.

The kids had their Valentines this week. Lex loved going to her friend Brylee's princess party and to get to dress up. Dana had done her hair so cute. Lex/Brylee also got to go on daddy/daughter dates to Marions and then we all went to "Mall Cop." I got my V-day sugar cookies done, which is an accomplishment for me to bake. I loved hanging out with Dana and her kids and my kids on my day off.

Weston, has a girlfriend named Maysie. He took a ring Alexa got from the dentist and gave it to Maysie. He is so funny. I don't know how he bribed Alexa to give up her ring, but she did. He is so funny, but so shy about the topic.

Two Year Olds

The other day I was off from work, working on my blog when I hear pans hitting each other. So I went into the kitchen. Tyler had the pan, cracked eggs (minus some shell) in the pan and the whisk and said "I want eggs mom!" Funny boy, all he had to do was ask!

Catching up, Again

Half the time, I am forgetting my camera of special moments here and there, because it seems to always be to heavy in the purse, anyway, I thought I would journal some of my thoughts the past couple of weeks.

I teach the 4th Sunday lesson in Church monthly, and last month my lesson was by Pres. Uichdorf- Power of Hope. I get so frustrated in preparing my lessons, afraid they will be to short and no one commenting, etc. I was doing my lesson, when in the middle of the lesson, out of no where, I reflected back when Tony was sick 5 years ago. I talked about the Hope of the "unknown" in his health prior to Christmas that year, how I had paid our last bit of money we had to our name to tithing. I remember we put our Faith and Hope to our Savior. That Christmas was the most blessed in our lives, were so many people gave to us, some not even knowing us, and thruout the next 6 months with Tony's health that helped pay for his surgery's with no insurance at that time, and helped pay the bills, mortgage, many more times to the hospital visits, etc. while Tony could not work. I am so eternally grateful for our Faith and Hope in our savior at that time that blessed us at that time. I also a couple of sisters at the end to give some personal examples of times of Hope and did awesome. The spirit was so strong that day and I learned so much from this amazing lesson.

On Christmas Eve, my whole family got together, minus my brother in law (Zach), who went to the Sugar Bowl. We went out to ice skate on dads pond with the kids. Dad decided to take the tractor onto the pond, to plow the snow, you know what happened, it fell right thru the ice. Likely, my brother Jason was there and got dad off and he hoped on and worked on getting it out for an hour. Afterwards, Alexa and my little neices said we kept praying that the tractor would get out and it did. Our prayers were really answered. The Faith of a child is amazing. It made me realize they are always watching our examples and to always teach them rightously as much as we can.

Later we all got to play games, Ripple and Dice were a blast and staying up past midnight at Jared's.

On the 3rd, my niece, Autumn got baptized in Highland. We were glad to make it to her special day. It was beautiful. Harmony did a great job on her talk on the Holy Ghost and the food afterwards was so yummy.

On the 10th, we took the kids out to Salt Lake to use up Weston's Jr. Jazz tickets. We decided to take the kids to Tepanaki, they loved it and we had a great time. Then we watched the Jazz/Pistons game, but had to leave at half time, because the 2 year old kept going up and down the stairs, which wasn't good since we were the very top of the Energy Solutions Arena. So back to Roosevelt. Long trip, but a great time with the kids.

Sunday, we made it to church, tired and exhausted from the late night. It was great to have Tony there and having him there for all the meetings. Its been a while since he had. It really made my day. Later that night, Weston had Baptism Preview. I can't believe he will be getting baptized this year. He is growing up so fast.

I forgot to mention in my Christmas blog, that Weston had some dental work done on some cavities prior to Christmas. He had his top two teeth really loose, but they weren't coming out. He kept singing All I want for Christmas is to loose my two front teeth. He told the dentist, and he got really excited, so he numbed the top of Weston's mouth and pulled them out. The dentist said he made his day because he got to do it for fun. He said Merry Christmas, no charge- nice :)

I also at this time, pray for my good friend Cami. She is pregnant (I think 22 weeks). She has not been able to keep hardly anything down and has lost so much weight. I pray that here and the baby will be okay and that the doctors can figure out what can help them both out.

O Christmas Time, O Christmas Time...

We had dinner at Jen/Zach's and then watched a nativity power point that our friend Sharon Evans put together and then we drove down to the hospital to play Ripple (w/Phase 10 cards) and help pass time for Jessica in Labor.
The next morning, the kids and I had breakfast at Tony's parents with his brother, sisters and family and his Hanson relatives (Tony's moms' brothers, etc). Tony drove out after his grave yard shift and surprised all of us. His mom was so excited and so was I. He always loves to surprise us anyway he can, then he turned around and drove back home, to work that night. So he basically was up for 48 hours-Sorry hun!




The kids were so excited for Christmas this year. The kids were in 7th Heaven. We told them that Santa was coming a day earlier, because Tony had to work on Christmas day. So when parents have to work, Santa makes special arrangements, to let families have Christmas together.
Weston loved getting Star Wars ships and figurines. Alexa loved all her barbie house and car and clothes. Ty was more interested in Weston's things, he just wanted Star Wars. Santa surprised them with a WII and they loved every minute of it. We had such a great time with the kids.
